About the Program
The doc:muv career development program is designed for pre-doctoral women* from all disciplines and faculties at the University of Vienna who want to actively shape and advance their academic careers.
Over the course of three semesters, the program supports participants in clarifying their career goals, building strong professional networks, and strategically planning their next academic steps.

Program Structure

Mentoring
Mentoring is the core element of the program. In small groups, participants reflect on their academic paths, receive guidance from experienced mentors, and expand their professional perspectives.
- approx. 8 mentoring groups
- 3–4 participants per group

Coaching
Group coaching sessions support participants in reflecting on challenges, strengthening personal resources, and developing concrete steps for career progression.

Training
One thematic training session per semester complements the program, focusing on relevant academic and career-related skills.

Program groups
Participants are divided into two interdisciplinary groups:
- Humanities & Social Sciences
- Natural & Life Sciences
A maximum of 24 participants will be admitted to the program.
